Welcome to my Japanese I class blog!
My name is Hutson. I'm an employee here at the University of Notre Dame. I live in Michigan with my husband and three backyard chickens. I enjoy reading, listening to music, playing games, and traveling to new places.
This year, my husband is traveling to Shizuoka City in Japan for a six-month training program. Neither of us have been to Japan, nor can speak Japanese. I'm studying Japanese to make our time there more enjoyable! I hope to learn the essentials for living in a foreign country, such as public transport, buying groceries, navigating appointments, and of course sight-seeing.

Hi Hutson-san. Nice to meet you. I was able to travel to Japan for a bit during my time as an undergrad and really enjoyed it! I hope it is an exciting time for you and your husband!
